The Journal of Cochin Periodontists Society (Jcops) is the official publication of Cochin Periodontists Society. It is an initiative of the academic members of the COPS who works as undergraduate and postgraduate guides and teachers at various institutions across the state of Kerala. The journal has an equal affinity for articles with exclusive and also interdisciplinary nature in the subject of Periodontology.

Jcops understands that knowledge and skills of each specialists shared through such journals serves as cogs that deliver harmony and perfection in dental treatment.

Jcops is to be circulated among all its life and associated members and every speciality departments of dental colleges across the state.

This professional society journal is framed within the objective of supporting clinical practice, education and research in the field of dentistry.

The Journal publishes original contributions of high scientific merit in every aspect of periodontology and related sciences in the following broad categories:

• Reviews
• Original Research
• Case Reports/Case series with discussions
• Short communications: Brief communications (1-3 journal pages) are also accepted
• Basic science short research reports: Brief report of short research projects (1-2 journal pages) are accepted

 Submit the following details in 2 different documents

Doc:1:

Type of manuscript, Title of article, Names of all authors, address of corresponding author with E mail, abstract (within 200 words), Keywords (5-6) & running title

Doc:2:

Article with appropriate subheadings and reference number in the order of its appearance with Arabic numerals in superscript in square brackets after punctuation marks. Text in Times new roman font with 1.5 line spacing. Reference format (www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html). Mention the conflict of interest and sources of funding if any.

TABLES, FIGURES AND FIGURE LEGENDS: Maximum 5 figures / tables accepted. Attach separately, only high quality figures accepted. Photos if any should be in JPEG format with minimum 300dpi resolution

Jcops is a non profit initiative of COPS towards commitment to dentistry. The expenditure of making of journal will be equally divided among the publishing articles. The corresponding author needs to make the payment before the printing of the journal. The approximate charge of each article will be around ₹
